Bilan Carbone® assessment of the Palais de la Découverte in Paris
BIO Intelligence Service presented the results of the Bilan Carbone® carbon footprint analysis performed for the Palais de la Découverte in Paris.
The carbon footprint analysis was part of a corporate partnership programme to assist the museum with implementing a more comprehensive approach to sustainable development.
This Bilan Carbone® looked at the overall carbon footprint of the museum, taking 2008 as its reference year. The objectives were:
- To determine the Palais de la Découverte’s climate footprint by identifying the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions,
- To reduce the Palais de la Découverte’s climate footprint by implementing actions to reduce emissions from these main sources.
As a follow-up to the Bilan Carbone® assessment, BIO is assisting the Palais de la Découverte with putting in place an action plan and enlisting the support of employees.
