Management of the A3P network

2010-2013, ADEME

BIO Intelligence Service and  its partners are in charge of running the A3P network (the national network of managers of waste prevention plans or programmes), an initiative launched by the ADEME, the French Agency for the Environment and Energy Management, to support local authorities (local councils and inter-communal co-operation organisations).

Running the A3P network involves organising meetings between members of the A3P network in France, creating and distributing tools (directories, an interactive platform, etc.) as well as capitalising on knowledge and best practice through the sharing of documents across the network.

The aim of the network is to encourage the widespread preparation of regional plans and local prevention programmes in order to meet national targets, since the environmental code, altered by the first and second Grenelle laws, aims to reduce household and similar waste by 7% within 5 years.
