The Food Profiler

2006, BIO Intelligence Service
ACV produits agroalimentaires

In 2006, BIO Intelligence Service developed “The Food Profiler”, a tool based on a simple and original method for determining the nutrient profile of foods.

This tool was designed to help select foods that are eligible to bear claims about nutritional or health benefits.

It was also developed to support the new European regulations relating to nutritional and health claims, by helping to identify food products with a nutrient profile that does not cause an imbalance in the overall diet.

The tool is still online and can be used free of charge.

The Food Profiler is regularly used and updated by our partners, and was recently adapted to take into account the eating habits of Brazilian children.
